The ICT Learning Centre Action Group will give those involved in Learning Centre activity in Southwark the opportunity to:
- Meet other people doing similar work
- Find out about what other provision is available locally
- Discuss issues of concern, on a local or national level
- Look at long term-sustainability
- Share knowledge
- Spread good practice
- Develop an action plan for ICT Centres in the borough
- Explore collaborative bidding to funders
- Match training providers to venues
- Develop a marketing strategy
Through this site members will be able to access useful resources, contribute to the debate in the discussion forum and find links to other useful websites.
It is expected that the ICT learning Centre Action Group will meet on a quarterly basis. It is hoped that through this group ICT Learning Centre activity will be better coordinated to meet the needs of local people. The group should also provide the first step towards initiatives such as collaborative funding bids and a borough-wide marketing strategy.
